The SENDIMAGE laboratory aims to improve the quality and application potential of remote sensing data. Research work has been carried out from three aspects: 1) the enhancement of remote sensing images; 2) the fusion of multi-source data; and 3) accurate application in the geosciences. Through the enhancement of remote sensing information, we can eliminate different kinds of radiation degradation in remote sensing images and improve the quality of remote sensing data. By the fusion of multi-source information, we can reduce the contradiction between the temporal, spatial, and spectral resolutions of the observation data. Based on the high-quality data produced by the enhancement and fusion techniques, we want to deepen the understanding of some typical geo-phenomena. The overall research framework is shown below.
